The tramway is coming!

On the weekend of 29th and 30th of April 2017, passengers can use the German tram stop „Kehl Bahnhof“ as well as the three new stops on the French side of the Rhine for the first time. The first tramway departs at 4:30 am on Saturday morning. The tramway is also in service in the night between Saturday and Sunday.

However, the cross-border tramway will only be put into regular service on Tuesday, May 2nd. It is not in service on Monday, May 1st, which is a legal holiday both in Germany and France. Traditionally all the other tramways and busses in Strasbourg are also not in service on this holiday.

Please note also that the conditions of carriage (transport of dogs, tickets for the severely disabled, etc.) differ from the usual ones in Germany. All Strasbourg buses and trams are equipped with a wheelchair accessible entrance.
